China’s Jiangsu Province Has Released A New Notice About Bitcoin Bans!

The repercussions of China’s recent Bitcoin and cryptocurrency mining bans continue to linger. Cities in China are seeking various solutions to enforce the decisions made by the government and block activities related to cryptocurrencies.

China’s Jiangsu province also shared some of their work to comply with these rules.

In the statement made, it was stated that although it is prohibited, the IP addresses of the people participating in the mining were detected and all kinds of authority would be used to crash them.

The official statement is as follows:

“Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Public Security issued a statement to strengthen the supervision of virtual currency “mining” activities and strictly prohibited this area.

At Jiangsu, we attach great importance to a thorough investigation of virtual currency “mining” behavior in our province. According to the latest findings;

It was observed that the traffic of mining pools carrying out virtual currency activities in our province reached 136.77 Mbps.

The number of Internet IP addresses involved in mining was found to be 4502.

The consumption of computing power supplies of these miners exceeds 10PH/s and the energy consumption is 260,000 kWh/day.

When we examined the IP addresses, we found that the internet belonging to government institutions, universities and businesses was occupied and used in cryptocurrency mining.

As the next step, we will continue to analyze the virtual currency “mining” situation and will also combine with the relevant departments to create a “multidimensional, multi-level” disposal system.

We will shut down related websites and mobile applications that mediate mining. Our goal is to monitor and crack down on illegal virtual currency transactions.”
