We examine the change experienced by the Apple logo, which is at the top of the list of technology companies with the highest market value in 2022. We also share with you his little-known legal battle for this logo.
Change of Apple logo over the years
The change of the Apple logo over the years may not surprise you. Because they are quite similar to the bitten apple of today. But the first logo with Isaac Newton sitting under the apple tree designed by Steve Jobs and Ronald Wayne in 1976 is not known to many.
After Newton, we first encounter the bitten apple logo in 1977, one year later. This logo, which contains rainbow colors, continues to be used until 1998. But with the iMac G3 introduced by Jobs, it gets the translucent water color.
The logo that comes with the G3 model does not last very long. Because in the same year, Apple begins to use a black apple logo. Although this logo was highly appreciated, with the launch of iTunes and iPod in 2001, a new design was introduced to suit them.
As you can imagine, this new design is being updated with the iPhone models that entered our lives in 2007 and reinvented the concept of smartphones. But later on, Apple decided to switch to the monochrome black logo used between 1998 and 2000, making a final decision in 2014 to create its current form.
