Frankfurt She is considered a star investor: Cathie Wood. In the USA, 16 billion dollars are in their equity fund “Ark Innovation ETF” (ARKK). It is an actively managed fund, but is traded on the stock exchange. Experts believe that this ETF variant is likely to become much more popular worldwide. “Globally, we can imagine a tripling to one trillion dollars by 2026 under certain conditions,” says Utz Helmuth from Strategy&, the strategy consultant of the auditing firm PwC.

Business in Europe is expected to grow even faster, albeit from a lower base. Helmuth believes a fivefold increase to $90 billion is possible. Marcus Weyerer, ETF expert at Franklin Templeton Investments, goes one step further: “$100 billion is absolutely possible.”
