Cardano Founder Answers Allegations About ADA’s New Update!

Cardano (ADA) founder Charles Hoskinson said in a recent YouTube livestream that there are no quality issues with Cardano’s Vasil upgrade.

This statement comes after he asked stake pool operators (SPOs) to upgrade their nodes to version 1.35.3. Hard forks will not occur until at least 75% of operators upgrade to this version.

“We have high confidence that the engineering behind 1.35.3 is solid,” Hoskinson said.

In addition, Hoskinson stated that there is no crisis within Cardano, adding that “things are mostly going well”.

Hoskinson: “Bug in Cardano Discovered in Testnet, No Quality Issues”

Prominent ADA developer Adam Dean recently sparked a public debate on Twitter, saying the testnet was “horribly broken”.

Dean claimed that the Input Output team rushed the upgrade, causing serious technical issues.

Hoskinson wrote in his latest video, “First, let’s make it clear that this is not a mainnet bug, the fact that the bug was discovered on the testnet in the first place indicates that the testing processes are working.” He said, “The code has been ‘extensively and thoroughly’ tested. The risk of a bug being discovered is very low,” he added.

Earlier today, Hoskinson said that going through the retesting process would not do any good for the vulnerability in question.

According to the ADA founder, this will cause unnecessary delays that will hurt dApp developers.

Hoskinson stressed that the timing of the system rollout will be decided by the SPOs.

The founder also added that Blockchain is decentralized, meaning that no one can unilaterally decide for Cardano.
