Paul Grewal, Chief Legal Officer of Cryptocurrency Exchange Coinbase Speaks About the Possibility of XPR Relisting

Grewal recently spoke with Tony Edwards on the “Thinking Crypto” Podcast. In his speech, Grewal stated that a relisting of XRP is a strong possibility. Still, he said, with the uncertainty about when the decision will come out and what it might entail, the decision will ultimately be based on several different factors.

Speaking about the upcoming decision, Grewal stated that the token’s relisting is entirely dependent on both the grounds for the decision and the reasoning provided by the judge. In addition, Coinbase will evaluate whether the courts will approve the relisting.

Grewal said on the subject:

“So a lot will depend on the details of the court decisions. I know this will not be very satisfying for some, but as a public company we have a responsibility to be careful in this area and with any token that is the subject of federal court action.”

Previously, Coinbase suspended trading of XRP in January 2021 following the filing of the SEC lawsuit. Now, with these legal processes potentially coming to an end, the XRP community can’t wait to see how exchanges will react to a positive decision in favor of Ripple.
