BYD Seal U DM-i claims low fuel consumption

Now, BYD, which produces the world’s first mass-produced rechargeable hybrid car, has launched the BYD Seal U DM-i model in the Turkish market, claiming energy efficiency and low fuel consumption. The new hybrid car, which is offered for sale at a special launch price of 2,090,000 TL, comes with a four-cylinder, 72kW, 1.5-liter gasoline engine.
Offering three different power supply modes with its 145kW electric motor in addition to its gasoline engine, Seal U DM-i receives its power from the electric motor in 90 percent of driving conditions, according to the announcements. Providing a completely electric driving experience thanks to its 100 percent Electric Power Mode, U DM-i offers a longer range by charging the electric motor thanks to the gasoline engine in Sequential Hybrid Driving Mode.
