Dusseldorf The IPO of the sports car manufacturer Porsche has cast a spell over many investors. Not only professionals, but also private investors have tried to secure shares. But the demand was so great that only a fraction could be served. The initial issue (IPO) was oversubscribed several times, so only the offers at the upper end of the price range of EUR 82.50 per share were successful.

So how should private investors proceed who have so far received nothing? When is the best time to buy Porsche shares: right at the start of trading on the day of the IPO, or is it worth waiting and hoping for a better entry point?
