affiliated with Ripple cryptocurrency unit of XRPis gaining popularity among UK crypto investors. That assumption was raised in a recent report published by the eToro trading platform.
Data shared by eToro indicated that in the third quarter of this year, retail investors in the UK began to become more interested in XRP, the sixth-largest cryptocurrency, and investing more money than any other digital asset. XRP has become the number one crypto in the UK in the retail crypto market.
Cardano’s ADA is the second cryptocurrency that British investors are interested in, after XRP. In the last three months, ADA has outstripped Ethereum in popularity here, gaining 11% and giving investors 1,230 annual returns in 2021.
Ripple will help the UK create its CBDC
As we previously reported, Ripple, the UK’s CBDC, has entered into a partnership agreement with the Digital Pound Foundation to speed up the digital pound creation process.
According to Susan Friedman, Ripple’s policy chief, this partnership will be beneficial for the evolution of the global financial system. As part of this agreement, Ripple will continue to cooperate with central banks in various countries on technical issues and policies related to CBDCs.
