Booster vaccination against corona: for whom and when? Spahn and Wieler in the livestream – domestic politics

It cannot be overlooked: The next wave of corona infections has long been rolling in. Politicians are alarmed. On Tuesday evening, according to BILD information, Chancellor Angela Merkel (67) told the CDU board that there would be “severe restrictions for unvaccinated people”.

But: Almost half of the over-60-year-olds who come to the hospital because of Corona are fully vaccinated: The vaccination protection is declining, especially in the elderly. Now experts assume that the booster – a third vaccination against the coronavirus – protects better against a serious course of the disease.

But how should it work: Do the vaccination centers have to be reactivated? Who should be vaccinated again and when?

Spahn and Wieler provide information about booster vaccinations

Today, Health Minister Jens Spahn (41, CDU), Lothar Wieler (60), President of the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) and Prof. Dr. Leif Erik Sander (44), head of the research group for infection immunology and vaccine research at the Berlin Charité, will give an overview.
