new York A third dose of Moderna’s corona vaccine also shows an increased immune response against the Omikron variant. The US manufacturer reported this on Monday, citing initial laboratory tests. This indicates that the vaccine also offers protection against the rapidly spreading new variant.
According to Moderna, the third vaccination increased the level of so-called neutralizing antibodies 37 times compared to the double vaccination. The manufacturers Biontech / Pfizer recently announced that initial data indicated that their vaccine against the Omikron variant was effective.
