BMW attracted attention with its new SUV model

BMW’s M division has always been about taking the German automaker’s vehicles a few steps further in terms of performance. Like its competitors, the company has long been working on what the combination of advances in electric powertrains and autonomous driving will mean for brands like BMW M.

The first all-electric M-series car was the 536-horsepower best-in-class i4 M50 sedan, released last year. But at CES 2022 this week, the company unveiled the 2023 iX M60, the most powerful version of its iX tech flagship.

The company introduced the iX M60, which it introduced within the technology-centric flagship iX platform, to users with a 610 horsepower machine (when Sport Mode is activated), which aims to combine it with the M platform. This car brings together the latest and advanced technologies on the one hand and maximum performance on the other.

The thing that attracted the users most here was that it could accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.6 seconds, thanks to its two motors that can provide a total instantaneous torque of 1100 Newton-meters in start mode. Of course, the vehicle is electronically locked so that it cannot exceed 250 km/h. However, we do not think that anyone will sneeze at this speed.

The fact that the vehicle is quite imposing and heavy does not go unnoticed. Still, Tesla Model Ys offer a range of 530 km, while the iX M60 has a range of about 450 km. In addition, with DC fast charging, the car’s battery can go from 10 percent to 80 percent in 35 minutes.

BMW specifically states that it does not use rare earth metals in its two engines, as it eliminates permanent magnets. Instead, the systems under the hood have been developed in accordance with the current-energy synchronous machine principle.

The car’s standard adaptive biaxial air suspension with electronically controlled shock absorbers claims to be able to keep the car at the right height regardless of speed (and you can also manually adjust the height).

On the technology side, BMW promises a computing platform with considerable potential to continually improve automated driving and parking, along with the latest generation of sensors and software for driver assistance and infotainment systems.

In addition, BMW Live Professional Cockpit and BMW Natural Interaction, Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System, Laser Light, Comfort Access, Active Seat Ventilation for driver and front passenger, and Radiant Heating Package, which heats, are offered as standard.
