Bitzlato Wants to Continue Its Operations

Hong Kong-based cryptocurrency exchange recently accused of money laundering Bitzlato In his statement, the manager stated that they want to continue their activities.

Bitzlato was subjected to a major sanction by the USA and European Union countries in January. While stock exchange officials residing in the countries were detained, customer funds were blocked, large amounts of crypto and cash were seized.

As a result of the operation, co-founder Anatoly Legkodymov and dozens of managers were arrested and sent to prison. Sources claim that law enforcement seized 35% of exchange funds.

“We want to continue our activities”

The manager of the said exchange, speaking in Russian, announced on his Youtube channel that the company wants to continue its activities and return the user funds in order.

Anton Shkurenkostated that Bitzlato will be active again as soon as possible and they intend to return at least half of their user assets.

Bitzlato is accused of facilitating trade with Russian users sanctioned as part of the Ukraine war. Europol announced that the exchange has a trading volume of $1 billion.
