Bitcoin Nightmare New Development in Mt.Gox Incident! New Date Given for Payment!

Once the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange which caused damage to its users after the hack in 2014. Mt. Gox exchange has made a change in its payment plan again.

While Mt.Gox victims are still waiting for the day they will receive their money despite the intervening 9 years, the payment date has been delayed once again.

According to the previously planned payment date, the bankruptcy court and the board of trustees said that the creditors who want to receive payment should register, and that these records should be made by January 10, 2023. However, this registration date has also changed and has been postponed to March 10, 2023.

Mt.Gox also changed the date of the first payments to creditors and postponed it to September.

“The Rehabilitation Trustee, which obtained court authorization, also postponed the basic reimbursement deadline from July 31, 2023 (Japan time) to September 30, 2023.”

Payments to creditors will be made in cryptocurrency, fiat currency, or both. Payments will also be sent to the recipient’s bank account or crypto exchange account.
