Moreover, at the time of writing, Bitcoin stands in the red zone while SOL is enjoying the green zone. So far, the smart contract token has recorded a price increase of more than 55% in the last seven days. During this time, Solana rose to the rank of the fourth largest cryptocurrency by market cap.

Bitcoin evangelist harshly criticizes Solana
Overall, SOL’s massive price rally has triggered the cryptocurrency gaining significant traction. However, Bitcoin evangelist Fred Krueger is against this move. Krueger took a jab at the Solana ecosystem in his latest comments. Moreover, he belittled their innovations and described them as “pure science fiction”. It suggests that the jump in Solana’s price is a result of the supposed acceleration of a Solana protocol called FireDancer. Notably, FireDancer is a new standalone validator client for the Solana Blockchain built to increase the throughput and reliability of the network.
This client has not been implemented yet. Krueger sees it as a tool with no real use. He also labels gaming, social and ticketing innovations in Solana as three killer apps promoted by the protocol’s fanboys. Additionally, he belittles them by labeling them as pure science fiction.
Solana (SOL) innovations underestimated
The Bitcoin maximalist references a game by Solana called Star Atlas. He says that Solana does not match other Blockchains in terms of gaming initiative. Solana reviewer sees Star Atlas as a mediocre game with only 5K UAW. Krueger dismisses the concept of having a Solana-powered Facebook or other Solana-connected social media platform as pure fantasy. He doesn’t even acknowledge that cryptocurrency can be integrated into a game.
As for ticketing, Bitcoin bulls say there is no traction on this issue. As a reason, he claims that there is no driving force in this direction in the market. Contrary to the praise Solana has received recently, Krueger further criticizes Blockchain and states that he is sticking with Bitcoin.
