Netherlands-based Bistroo is among the first startups in the food technology segment to integrate cryptocurrencies as a payment method. Alongside this, the firm has made a strong entry into the crypto space by launching a local token and community of cryptocurrency enthusiasts.
Bistroo Food Service Starts Accepting Crypto
The Bistroo team, a peer-to-peer food delivery ecosystem, made an official announcement on Twitter that it will begin accepting cryptocurrencies as a payment method.

The flagship cryptocurrency for all traders, food and drink on the platform from October 2021 Bitcoin (BTC), Besides the Ethereum (ETH) and Binance’s local presence Binance Coin (BNB) can accept payments.
Having raised a total of $8,000,000 in its strategic funding round in May 2021, Bistroo accelerated its entry into cryptocurrency with the help of a number of high-profile investors.

In future versions of the platform, Bistroo, Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Litecoin (LTC) It will also integrate as alternative payment methods.
Alongside major cryptocurrencies, Bistroo is making its own local currency, BIST, available. With Bistroo’s collaboration with Coinpayments, BIST is accepted by 100,000 traders in more than 200 countries around the world.
Bistroo will not charge any fees from cryptocurrency depositors to offer new opportunities to its customers. As a result, crypto becomes the most convenient and efficient payment method on Bistroo.
