In Germany, tens of millions of corona vaccinations must be administered by the end of summer to protect them from expiration. This emerges from answers from the Federal Ministry of Health (BMG) to written questions from Sepp Müller (CDU), which are available in the Tagesspiegel Background. The Union faction deputy is responsible for health in the Bundestag.
The answers also show that the federal government has no overview of how many of the vaccine doses delivered to resident doctors via wholesalers have now had to be destroyed. Since the new Federal Minister of Health Karl Lauterbach (SPD) took office, the ministry has no longer published any figures on currently available and prospectively delivered vaccine doses.
