Bakkt Holdings, the digital asset platform that allows its users to buy, sell, send and store various digital assets, announced that its users can now buy and sell Ethereum (ETH).
Bakkt, one of the largest crypto money platforms, said in a statement that they added Ethereum to the Bitcoin service it offers to its customers.
Users will be able to send Ethereum to their family and friends directly through the Bakkt app.
Bakkt said in a statement that Ethereum has grown in popularity over the past year and has a large share in the crypto market after Bitcoin.
Bakkt emphasized that it aims to facilitate the flow of digital commerce in line with the company’s mission to connect the digital economy by giving its users more opportunities to use digital assets such as Ethereum.
Bakkt CEO Gavin Michael said in a statement on the subject:
“At Bakkt, providing users with flexible opportunities to enjoy their digital assets is paramount. We have also added a popular and growing cryptocurrency Ethereum to our list of apps.
Bakkt users have already liked the app’s capabilities to leverage Bitcoin. We are confident that adding Ethereum will complement our growing ecosystem of partners and assets.”
It did not go unnoticed that Bakkt’s Ethereum service announcement came just weeks after the company went public on the New York Stock Exchange.
