Cologne Long-time Audi manager Martin Sander will be the new head of Ford Germany. In addition, the industry expert will be responsible for Ford’s entire car business in Europe, as the group announced on Monday. The “Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger” had previously reported on it.

Ford of Europe President Stuart Rowley emphasized that Sander brought “the dynamism, leadership and ideas that are important to accelerate the transformation of our passenger car business in Europe and to enable our customers to create new connected experiences”.

Two previous management positions will be combined in Sander’s area of ​​responsibility. This underscores Ford’s commitment to advance the electrification of its European product range even faster, the company emphasized.

Sander will start his new role on June 1st and will have his office in Cologne. The manager, who was born in Hildesheim, studied mechanical engineering and graduated from the Technical University of Braunschweig with a degree in engineering. He then worked for the Volkswagen Group for many years at home and abroad – most recently as Senior Vice President of Sales for Europe at Audi AG. He currently lives in Ingolstadt, is married and has two children.
