ASPİLSAN started mass production in its new factory!

ASPİLSAN announced last May that all the preliminary work and construction processes were completed in its new factory and that it is ready to start mass production. As a matter of fact, this process started a short time ago. Today, the general manager of the institution made a new statement. So, for whom and what type of batteries does ASPİLSAN produce?

Who does ASPİLSAN produce batteries for?

ASPİLSAN, which was first established in 1981, is among the companies with the highest localization rate. In fact, 98 percent of its shares are held by the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation. Already in the previous period, it was producing special batteries and batteries according to the needs of the TAF.

But now it aims to be in an important position not only for our country but also for the whole world. In this direction, Europe’s first cylindrical Lithium-Ion battery plant (also among the largest in the world) was established with an investment of 1.5 billion TL.

Togg, in his social media post today, said that he will start trial production before mass production.

A short time ago, mass production started here. Of course, there are also active studies on battery development, hydrogen and energy production and storage of the produced energy. However, it currently has more than 150 patented product types.

In this way, it can produce batteries for all kinds of civil and military hand/back radios, war equipment, aircraft and helicopters. At the same time, it can design radio, night vision system, jamming system, robotic system batteries used in anti-tank, mine scanning and bomb disposal, missile guidance kit and anti-torpedo batteries according to needs.

ASPİLSAN battery production factory

The institution always says that its priority is to meet the needs of the Turkish Armed Forces and the defense industry. This was the purpose of its founding in the beginning. However, with the newly opened facility, lithium-ion batteries are now sold both domestically and abroad.

ASPİLSAN carries out mass production in its new factory with its own patents and licenses. In other words, it has introduced a new product. With an annual production capacity of 220 MWh, this new facility produces 60 cells per minute. This corresponds to 21 million 600 thousand cells annually. The batteries produced according to the first plan have a capacity of 2800 mAh and a voltage of 3.65V.

  • ASPİLSAN’s main solutions:
    • All Kinds of Ni-Cd, Ni-MH, Li-Ion, Li-Po Batteries and Batteries
    • Solar Cell, Thermal Cell and Fuel Cell
    • Renewable energy
    • Energy Storage Systems
    • Chargers
    • Battery/Battery Laboratory Test Systems
