ASELSAN continues to break records!

ASELSAN, one of Turkey’s leading defense industry companies, achieved significant financial and technological success in 2023. While the company’s annual turnover increased by 10 percent and reached 73.6 billion TL, its gross profit increased by 13 percent and EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Depreciation and Tax) increased by 14 percent and reached 16 billion TL. ASELSAN, whose net profit reached 7.4 billion TL, realized the ratio of equity capital to assets as 59 percent.

ASELSAN broke a historical record in 2023

According to the evaluations of ASELSAN General Manager Ahmet Akyol, the company closed the year 2023 with significant successes in the field of technological innovations and exports. CENK introduced many new and critical technologies to Turkey, such as AKREP, ALPER Radars, YENER Mine Detection System, ASELFLIR-400 Camera. In addition, great progress has been made in important projects such as ASELFLIR-500, one of the world’s best cameras in its field, the SİPER air defense system and the DERINGÖZ autonomous underwater vehicle.

ASELSAN’s export activities in 2023 were also remarkable. The company achieved a historical success by exporting to four countries for the first time and selling more than 20 products abroad for the first time. Among these successes, the tank modernization tender won in Chile has a particularly important place. In addition, a new export contract worth 601 million dollars was signed, reaching a historical record.

Bayraktar TB3 completed its 25th flight with the ASELFLIR-500 Electro-Optical System and reached a total flight time of 196 hours.

By supporting Turkey’s important defense platforms such as Hürkuş, Bayraktar TB2, Anka, MİLGEM, Ejder Yalçın and Kirpi with the technologies it developed, it strengthened the place of these platforms in global competition. In addition, ASELSAN, which rose to the 47th place among the world’s largest defense industry companies, led the companies with the highest R&D expenditures in Turkey.

It put into operation important facilities such as the Advanced Material Facility, Guidance Kit Integration and Production Facility and Electronic Warfare Production and Integration Facility. FLIR initiated four more major investments in the fields of camera systems, air defense systems, microelectronics and AESA radar.
