Germany is slowed down by regulations.

  • 1,778 federal laws and 2,821 federal regulations are currently in force. Many of these are necessary, while others rob citizens and companies above all of time, nerves – and money: A typical medium-sized company costs 2.5 percent of its annual turnover in bureaucracy.
  • In order to avoid the regulatory chaos in Germany, some start-ups are now relocating to the USA. But instead of relieving the burden on companies and citizens, the state keeps increasing the requirements.
  • It would help if the necessary bureaucracy could be handled via computer or smartphone. However, the few prestige projects in the area of ​​administrative modernization usually do not keep what they promise.
