Apple has released an emergency security update!

Apple released iOS 16.5.1 and iPadOS 16.5.1 versions last month. The US technology giant quickly released a security update after the vulnerability emerged shortly after the release of iOS 16.5.1, iPadOS 16.5.1 and macOS Ventura 13.4.1.

Apple has released an urgent security update

Apple’s Rapid Security Response (RSR) is part of the company’s system of security updates. Thanks to these updates, important security vulnerabilities detected in Apple software can be quickly fixed without waiting for major releases.

When such vulnerabilities are discovered, Apple takes swift action, releasing security patches to protect their users and making them available to users. The new security update offered by the company is available for iOS 16.4.1, iPadOS 16.4.1, macOS 13.3.1 and later.

Apple’s security updates page offers patches to fix a vulnerability in WebKit for all three operating systems. Apple states that the vulnerability was discovered by an anonymous researcher.

Apple-signed devices are configured to automatically apply quick security updates. Devices that automatically install these updates can prompt users to restart their devices if needed.

To enable “Security Responses and System Files” on an iPhone or iPad, tap General in Settings. Then you can access Automatic Updates after selecting Software Update. Make sure that automatic updates are turned on on the page that opens for these patches to install automatically.
