TUBITAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal “We have been holding these events since 1998. Our reason for doing it was to increase the interest and awareness of astronomy and space science in the society with a limited participant until 2018 and to come together with about 250 of our participants. In this sense, we think we add value. But this was one of the first places our Minister visited when he took office in 2018. He had expressed both satisfaction and criticism when he joined; “If something good is being done here, it is possible to do better, but with more participants,” he said. We followed up with a thousand participants in 2019. We had a promise to make this place international for 2020. But the pandemic intervened. Unfortunately, we held our event outside Antalya in Diyarbakır for the first time since there were fire disasters last year. It was very good.” said.
