Recording more than $4 billion in sales Axie Infinity, has added SLP rewards to the new Origin ranked game mode, and announced that the game’s classic mode will no longer allow users to obtain Smooth Love potions (SLP). The team also introduced their NFTs and talismans, which can be printed on the Ronin network via the marketplace.
According to a blog post published Aug. 11, AXS is changing the reward system and SLP token removes it from the classic game. Axie Infinity stands out as one of the most popular play-to-win (P2E) games, including NFTs. According to all-time statistics collected by Dappradar.com, the game’s NFT collection has recorded $4.24 billion in all-time sales so far. According to Cryptoslam.io data, there have been 17,038,131 transactions to date and 2,291,087 NFTs have been held.
Axie Infinity is one of the best NFT collections on cryptoslam.io as Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) is behind Axie Infinity with $2.36 billion in sales and Cryptopunks has recorded $2.35 billion in sales.
The game’s executive team plans to reward players who use Origin’s ranked game mode. NFT runes and talismans were also introduced, and the team adjusted the game’s leaderboard rewards.
In a statement released by Axie Infinity on Thursday, “As planned, we will release SLP from Axie Infinity Classic (V2) as part of Phase 3. Axie Infinity OriginWe will move it to (V3)”.
“This means that SLP emission will be completely shut down from V2 on August 12 at 9:30 GMT +7. One of the biggest benefits of migrating from Origin to Classic is the expanded capabilities to balance the SLP economy. Therefore, with Origin, the design of the SLP reward system is being adjusted to align with this goal.”
Axie Infinity, P2E gamingIt hosts two native tokens, the Smooth Love Potion (SLP) and the AXS token, which are an integral part of the business. SLP is used for rewards, while AXS works as the community’s management token.
