Android and Windows devices will soon form an ecosystem

The limitation between Android and Windows, which has been a bleeding wound for users for years, has been slowly being resolved recently, thanks to the work of companies. Users used Android emulators to transfer data from their Android devices to their computers or to install .apk files on Windows. Also, people were using various third party software besides emulators to transfer files.

Introducing its new technologies and products at the CES 2022 event today, Google announced that Android and Windows operating systems devices will be compatible with each other. Thanks to the new system, communication between computers and phones will be facilitated, data transfers and other functions can be controlled between devices.

Google, which has worked with Microsoft to bring Android and Windows devices closer to each other several times in recent years, seems to have failed to get what it wanted. While it was said that Windows 11 can run applications with .apk extensions in the past months, the announcements made at CES 2022 today show that Google is sitting at the table with companies.

Google, which will increase the scope of Nearby Share, is trying to complete this work with some computer manufacturers, not with Microsoft itself. The company will develop a joint system with some brands such as Intel, Acer and HP and will try to facilitate the communication of these companies’ products and Android devices.
