NVIDIA introduced the new RTX 40 series, based on the Ada Lovelace architecture, at the GTC event held towards the end of last September. On the AMD side, the response was not delayed and 2 new cards, RX 7900 XTX and RX 7900 XT, were introduced.
AMD RX 7900 XTX vs NVIDIA RTX 4080
The Covid-19 pandemic has been a challenging process for all technology companies. In fact, many relatively small manufacturers declared that they went bankrupt or were sold out, unable to stand up to large companies. At this point, big companies such as NVIDIA, AMD and Intel were among the most affected.
Although there are still problems with the chip crisis, raw material source control and international shipping, we have largely left the pandemic and closure period behind us. However, technology companies also experienced a boom in 2022.
NVIDIA comes to the fore with its new RTX 3080 and 3090 graphics cards, while AMD first comes to the fore with its Ryzen series processors and now with RX series graphics cards. Moreover, this time it seems ambitious in terms of price, power consumption and performance.
Of course, the data on paper does not always give us the right results. Therefore, we can only reach a clear conclusion by comparing these devices in mutual tests. But when we look at the comparison of the new RX 7900 XTX with the RTX 4080, we see that AMD is at least one step ahead in every field.
Moreover, according to the company’s claim, this time DLSS3 will not be able to save NVIDIA. Because although it is not a one-to-one counterpart, AMD, which integrates RDNA3 technology into its devices, eliminates the need for DLSS thanks to FSR3 support.
