Akbank organizes hackathon with this altcoin project

cryptocoin.com As we have reported, Akbank has come to the fore with claims that it will buy a Bitcoin exchange in the near future. Now, the bank has announced that it will hold a hackathon with technology from popular altcoin project Avalanche. Hackathon is a type of competition where a problem is given and it is expected to be solved. Such competitions are usually held in the field of software and technology. Akbank Lab also decided to organize a hackathon with Avalanche on the theme of restoring finance. The competition will take place with the support of Blockchain technology of the Avalanche project. However, Akbank did not share more details about the competition, which it called ReFi Hackathon. In other words, we will have to wait for when the competition will take place, the conditions of participation and other details. However, it was noteworthy that an image representing Blockchain was included in the bank’s share. Akbank’s share announcing its cooperation with Avalanche is as follows:

Avalanche Blockchain’s transaction count exceeds Ethereum

The number of transactions taking place on the Avalanche network is increasing day by day. Finally, the number of transactions on Blockchain has exceeded 1.5 million. Thus, the popular network managed to surpass the leading altcoin network Ethereum. The aforementioned transaction count data was revealed by Avalanche Explorer. Accordingly, the number of transactions on the network reached 1.51 million on August 9. This represents a new all-time high for the AVAX network. However, most of the aforementioned transactions were processed on AVAX’s DFK Subnet. The amount of AVAX staked on the platform has also seen a huge increase. Users staked 17 million AVAX tokens on August 9, 2022. Recent developments have put the Avalanche network ahead of its competitors such as Ethereum. However, the number of delegators in the Avalanche network has also increased significantly. In July, the altcoin network had 18,700 unique delegates. This number reached 22,000 by making ATH on August 9th.

Developments in the AVAX network draw attention

Hacking incidents are quite common in the cryptocurrency space. Many assets have been hacked recently, from major altcoin projects like Solana to NFT and Metaverse projects. However, the AVAX network has managed to maintain its security even in recent hacking events. The project attracts the attention of investors as it has not been the subject of any hacking attacks to date. However, there are hundreds of unfinished projects in Avalanche. These projects are tested on subnets before moving to the mainnet. As a result, with projects published on the mainnet, Blockchain has the potential to see massive user growth. Thus, the number of transactions can also refresh the record again.
