“AI will fundamentally change how people work with our software”

Dusseldorf SAP wants to develop digital assistants with the new generation of artificial intelligence (AI). These could answer questions about business data and give recommendations for action in programs for controlling business processes – in technical jargon ERP – said spokesman Christian Klein of the Handelsblatt: “Generative AI will fundamentally change how people work with our software”.

As a further focus, Klein identified a far-reaching automation of business processes, for example in human resources. “In the future, the system should be able to configure itself and automate work steps,” he promised. The SAP subsidiary Signavio is working with the start-up Aleph Alpha in this area.
