Adidas Sues Nike’s Mobile Apps

Sportswear giant Adidas has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Nike’s mobile apps. The lawsuit was the first lawsuit filed by Adidas against Nike.

Nike and Adidas, one of the biggest competing duos of the age, started to prepare for the court case again with a new infringement claim from one side. If this time it’s a violation accusation first time by Adidas against Nike done. Adidas claimed that Nike’s mobile apps and shoe-wearing technologies infringed its patents.

In the case filed with the East Texas Federal Court, Adidas Nike’s Run Club, Training Club and SNKRS mobile apps and the Adapt system; reported infringement of 9 patents on exercise tracking, the ‘smart shoe’ system and other technologies. There was no explanation from Nike or Adidas about the case file.

What patents does Adidas say Nike is infringing?
