A Product Tracking System Will Be Established Against Exorbitant Prices and Stockpiling

At the Economic Coordination Board meeting held today, it was decided to establish a new system that will enable instant product tracking. While no details were shared about the system, it was learned that other important issues were also discussed at the meeting.

The Economic Coordination Board, which was established last year to monitor and evaluate the developments related to economic stability, met again today. After the meeting chaired by Vice President Fuat Oktay, a written statement was shared. According to the statement, at the meeting, with the recent economic developments, change in global supply chains and the effects of rising global commodity prices on the inflation outlook.

In addition, a new system to be implemented in Turkey was also shared in the statement. At the meeting, the measures for the developments in food and commodity prices, increasing agricultural production and strengthening food supply security were also discussed. Establishment of a new digital system that will enable instant product tracking decision was taken. While no details have been shared about the system yet, details are expected to come soon.

Energy prices were also the subject of the meeting.

On the other hand, among the other topics discussed at the meeting, to manage the effects of rising energy prices. Additional measures to increase energy efficiency through additional financing opportunities were also discussed. Measures to improve inflation expectationswith the actions that can be taken for the effective use of budget opportunities. improving the investment climate and while evaluating the measures for the development of qualified manpower, the implementation results of the decisions taken at the previous meetings were also reviewed.
