A new dangerous front

Berlin The world faces a possible new escalation and once again it is about Iran. Over the weekend, important facilities were blown up in several places far from each other. An oil facility in Tabriz in the northwest and an arms factory in central Iran’s Isfahan went up in flames. Even before that, there had been repeated explosions in critical infrastructure.

The attacks and drone strikes are attributed to Israel. The country that was rocked by two assassination attempts over the weekend following a major raid by the Israeli army in the Palestinian West Bank. And right in the middle: the USA. Foreign Minister Antony Blinken tried to mediate in Jerusalem and Ramallah, that is, with the Israeli government and the Palestinian leadership, and campaigned for a peaceful compromise, for the famous two-state solution.
