Berlin The Autobahn GmbH of the federal government still has major problems paying their bills on time. As the Handelsblatt has learned from government and industry circles, construction companies have to submit their invoices by November 15th if they want to have them paid in the current year.

According to information from the Handelsblatt, the federal states also support the new central administration for the federal highways with invoicing – and for their part issue invoices because they are remunerated at full cost. The Federal Ministry of Transport stated that there was no support from the federal states in processing and handling invoices. The initial difficulties have been resolved.

The central administration has been responsible for the motorways since the beginning of the year. Until the summer, almost no invoices were paid on time, even after repeated reminders, as the companies concerned reported. As a last resort, they stopped work on the construction sites.
