Dusseldorf As soon as the German stock market has ended its short-term downtrend, the mood is again friendly: The Dax has surpassed the 16,000 point mark and is listed at 16,023 points, an increase of 0.5 percent.
As recently as yesterday, Tuesday, the leading index only narrowly failed to hit this mark with the daily high of 15,980 points. The closing score was 15,942 points, an increase of 1.1 percent. The Frankfurt benchmark had thus ended its series of three new daily lows in a row.
From a technical point of view, the stock market light is not yet green. Because the price slide since last Thursday, which caused the leading index to drop to 15,724 digits, has not yet ended in purely formal terms. That would only be the case at a price of 16,156 points.
