new York The guesswork about the future interest rate rate of the American Federal Reserve sent the US stock exchanges on a rollercoaster ride on Friday. US October jobs data presented a mixed picture, giving investors room for speculation. After initial gains, the Dow Jones index was 0.1 percent lower at midday at 31,971 points, the broader S&P 500 was down 0.2 percent at 3714 points, the index of the technology exchange Nasdaq lost 0.6 percent to 10,279 points .
