Dusseldorf The Dax limited its losses in the last hour of trading on Thursday, but narrowly missed the mark of 15,700 points: The German leading index closed 0.1 percent in the red at 15,696 points, after having fallen to 15,629 points in the meantime.
The Frankfurt stock exchange barometer ended the second trading day with losses: on Wednesday the Dax fell 0.3 percent to 15,705 points.
Meanwhile, the statements by the European Central Bank (ECB) did not give the stock exchanges any decisive impetus on Thursday. The ECB is sticking to its cheap money course despite higher inflation. Only in December does the ECB Council want to decide how to proceed with the billion dollar bond purchases.
