Karen DeSalvo, Chief Health Officer at Google, announced that this should be made possible by better microphones in new devices paired with trained algorithms. In another project, the digital group is working on using smartphone images of eyes to detect diseases at an early stage.
A competition for the healthcare market has arisen in the US technology scene. A number of start-ups and established corporations are currently developing specific health tech applications. The goal: high-quality diagnostics should be possible at home in the future thanks to sensitive sensors and better computer systems.
