He didn’t train at all in the Turkey camp and was fighting an infection. Previously in the first half of the season he was often only on the substitutes’ bench.
But after the test on Sunday, coach André Meyer (39) said: “He certainly has some catching up to do. But he’s definitely an option for the Essen game on Saturday.”

Because Landgraf and Damer are two players locked in Essen, the options in the Halle squad are rare. That’s why Samson’s commitment would be all the more important.

He says: “I have a very good feeling. The team has come even closer together. I want to support the boys with my experience.”
What else does Samson need now? “I will work on the liveliness like the others. We’ll use the next few days for that. Then we are ready for food.”
4:1! HFC shoots Hertha II away
For the start of the year on Saturday, there was a secret test in the Leuna-Chemie Stadium on Monday afternoon: The HFC won a training game scheduled at short notice against the amateurs from Bundesliga club Hertha 4-1 (1-0)!

The goals were scored by Gayret (22′), Landgraf (68′), Bolyki (74′) and test player Schneider (76′). Aksakal (61st) scored for the regional league to equalize in the meantime.
Halle organized the test to give all players match practice. Also those who took a break from the test on Sunday in Braunschweig (1:3) or only played for a short time.
