The new generation Toyota C-HR went on sale in Turkey as of November and stands out as the first plug-in hybrid (PHEV) car produced in our country. The price of the vehicle, which will initially be sold only with the fifth generation 1.8 liter full hybrid engine, starts from 1,800,000 TL. There are also higher models such as 1.8 Hybrid Passion X-Sport and 1.8 Hybrid Passion X-Style. The 223 horsepower 2.0 liter rechargeable hybrid option is expected to be available in the first quarter of 2024.

The fifth generation 1.8 liter full hybrid engine, named Hybrid 140, offered in Turkey, enables the C-HR to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.9 seconds and can reach a top speed of 170 km/h. The combined fuel consumption of the engine combined with the e-CVT transmission we are familiar with is announced as 4.9 lt/100 km. This represents an improvement over the previous version’s 122 horsepower total. The electric motor now produces 95 horsepower and 185 Nm of torque, which is higher than the previous 72 horsepower and 163 Nm.

In terms of design, the new C-HR draws attention with its “super coupe” profile, which further sharpens the coupe-style lines of the first generation, and carries the new face of Toyota’s fully electric model family. It has a modern and sporty exterior design with features such as hidden door handles and a new dual-color body design, which are offered for the first time in Toyota. The vehicle was designed in detail by engineers and the aerodynamics team for aerodynamic efficiency and visual appeal. The new “Parabola” LED headlights and the LED rear lighting group extending across the width of the vehicle are among the other prominent elements of the exterior design.

In interior design, Toyota offers a personalized digital cockpit experience in line with today’s user expectations. This includes a new 12.3-inch fully digital instrument display and a new 12.3-inch touchscreen multimedia display, available for the first time in Toyota models. The multimedia system connects smartphones via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, offering intuitive use with touch screen and voice command features.
