2023 Ripple (XRP) and SEC Prophecies from Famous Lawyer: Will SEC Chairman Resign?

crypto lawyer and Ripple (XRP) pro activist John Deaton He shared a series of predictions for the year 2023. The lawyer’s predictions were, as expected, relevant to the legal field, but interestingly, one of them came true almost instantly.

Crypto Lawyer Makes Sensational XRP Predictions for 2023

First of all, Deaton expressed his view that the case between Ripple and the US Securities Commission will result in a judge’s decision. This view may upset the XRP community, many of whom are waiting for a settlement or summary judgment to settle the case.

However, Deaton explained that a reconciliation is possible even after the decision has been made directly by the judge, thus eliminating the possibility of further appeals or the case going to a jury trial.

Deaton said in his Twitter posts:

My prediction that the Ripple case won’t be concluded until Judge Torres makes a decision has confused some.

The settlement may come later, eliminating a possible jury trial and also avoiding any possible appeal.

The lawyer’s other two predictions were directly related to the Securities Commission.

Accordingly, Deaton anticipates that the investigation into Sam Bankman-Fried, head of the failed FTX exchange, will reveal a series of “dirty” details about Bankman-Fried’s conversations with senior SEC officials.

As a result, the attorney expects the current chairman of the SEC, Gary Gensler, to step down before the end of 2023.
