Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has invited Chinese President Xi Jinping to visit his country.
“We’re ready to see him here,” Zelenski said in a Wednesday statement
interview published by the AP news agency.
The Kremlin, responding to the invitation, said Russia cannot presume to advise Chinese leader Xi on whether or not to visit Ukraine. “We know China’s balanced position, we value it, and we believe that the Chinese leader will make his own decisions about the advisability of certain contacts,” said Presidential Office spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
The Chinese President was in Moscow last week. It was also about a twelve-point proposal from the People’s Republic for dialogue and a ceasefire.
