YouTube is trying episode skipping feature with artificial intelligence

Artificial intelligence technologies have now begun to sit at the center of our lives. Even social media applications are now starting to offer artificial intelligence recommendation systems. In this sense, YouTube started testing a new artificial intelligence feature. Accordingly, YouTube plans to introduce an interesting artificial intelligence feature on mobile, such as skipping an episode with a double tap. In other words, the habit we all use to skip unnecessary parts of the video by double-tapping becomes a useful feature.

YouTube started to experiment with artificial intelligence features. On the one hand, Sprotify’s rise to a position as a YouTube rival with its music videos seems to have led to the development of the platform. With the new YouTube feature, you will now be able to skip the parts of a video that you do not want to watch.

On YouTube mobile, it is possible to skip part of the video by double-tapping the screen. Here, the YouTube artificial intelligence feature will recommend the episode the user wants to skip after this double-tap. Thus, the user will have the opportunity to skip the sections he wants, not just a short section in the video.

In fact, here YouTube content producers will have the opportunity to determine the recommendations for skipping episodes. Artificial intelligence will divide the content into sections unless the content producer has made a recommendation on this issue. Artificial intelligence will also give recommendations to users according to these sections.

Just hum! New YouTube Music feature announced

The new feature of the YouTube Music application has been announced. Thanks to this innovation, you can now find the song you are looking for by humming it.

However, YouTube has some concerns about this. Accordingly, users have the opportunity to skip important moments of the content with the feature of skipping chapters with artificial intelligence. This is not a very positive situation for content producers. Currently, the feature has started to be tested among very limited YouTube Premium users in the USA.

Skipping episodes with YouTube will also enable users to consume YouTube content much faster. YouTube also offers a new remix feature for Shorts videos. Accordingly, content producers will have the opportunity to add their own footage to remixes of shorts videos.

Do you think YouTube’s feature of skipping episodes with artificial intelligence can improve the video content consumption experience? We welcome your comments and opinions.
