Youth series “Das Internat”: The new season also addresses homophobia

Self-discovery, respect, tolerance, trust and self-confidence: for many young people these are issues that concern them in their daily life – in the schoolyard, out and about with friends or at home in the living room. The third season of the Joyn original “Das Internat” deals with precisely this content.

In addition to many funny and beautiful moments, the new season of the youth series is also about many serious situations: The new episodes take up relevant topics such as catcalling, sexual harassment, discrimination and homophobia.

Lea Mirzanli (“Potato Salad 3”) is particularly keen on this change: “I am glad that so many serious topics are addressed in ‘Das Internat’. Of course we want to entertain people, but it is even better if we can also give them something to take with them. “

In this context, the youth magazine BRAVO, together with Instagram and the streaming platform Joyn, is launching a campaign under the hashtag #ReelLove.

Yvonne Huckenholz, Editor-in-Chief Digital at BRAVO: “Love, tolerance and mutual respect are topics that are particularly important to BRAVO. Dealing openly with problems in our society is an important step in overcoming them. It is up to young people in particular to have a positive influence on the future – and the present. ”

Numerous “Das Internat” actors such as Mario Novembre, Lukas White, Payton Ramolla, Lea Mirzanli and Nashawn Schäfer talk about topics such as love, diversity and respect in the campaign.

Their interviews can be found in the current print edition of BRAVO and their stories and reels on Instagram – on the accounts of the magazine and the Joyn steaming platform. The community should also be involved through interactive formats and can communicate using the hashtag #ReelLove.

Aim of the cooperation: To offer young people a safe place for topics such as diversity, tolerance and respect and to create awareness for them.

“Open-mindedness, respect and tolerance are values that are also very important on Instagram. We want people to be able to express themselves freely on our platforms on these topics. We want to show that with the joint campaign and we are pleased that we have such committed partners by our side for this message, ”says Strategic Partner Manager Mathilde Burnecki from Instagram.

Joyn shows the third season “Das Internat” weekly from October 25, 2021, each with three new episodes. The series developed and produced by PANTAFLIX has a total of 24 episodes.
