Xiaomi, one of the largest smartphone manufacturers in the world, manages to grow every year by earning from the version, even though the profit margin per device is low because it sells mostly entry and mid-segment phones. Many people remain distant from the MIUI interface developed by the company on the Android operating system. However, it seems that this situation will not continue for a long time.
Say goodbye to all problems: HyperOS comes with Xiaomi 14 series!
Everyone else who loves Xiaomi and keeps their distance complains about some features of the MIUI operating system. For example, advertisements appearing in the device’s own applications… Additionally, since many models are released, not all of them can always be optimized sufficiently. Of course, although these problems are resolved over time, it is obvious that there is a prejudice against MIUI.
Xiaomi has recently applied for the registration of many trademarks such as ‘Xiaomi Hyper’, ‘Xiaomi Surge’ and even ‘Redmi Hyper’. Today, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun shared on X and Weibo that it was revealed that the new Xiaomi 14 series smartphones will come with the new HyperOS interface running on the Android 14 operating system.
It remains unclear whether devices that currently use MIUI and are known to receive the Android 14 update will receive HyperOS in the coming period. However, we know that many models, especially the Xiaomi 13 series, can run this new software without any problems. The real question here is whether Xiaomi will provide this opportunity to its customers to whom it currently sells devices.
Another factor that may be decisive here may be update support. We know that Apple has provided an average of 6-7 major iOS updates to iPhone models for many years. Similarly, Google announced that it will offer updates for 7 years after the Pixel 8 series.
On the Xiaomi side, we saw that it was promised up to 4 years at most. However, although many models are produced, if HyperOS can strengthen the company’s hand in optimization and works much more stable than MIUI as expected, Xiaomi can also take a step in this regard.
