Berlin The Russian aluminum and electricity company owner Oleg Deripaska introduced his speech at the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum on Thursday, saying he had been asked not to say those words. But he is for peace.

In Russia it is already forbidden to call the Russian military operation in Ukraine a war. And for the dissemination of alleged fake news, i.e. information that deviates from Russian propaganda, Russia’s parliament wants to pass a law that provides for up to ten years in prison. For the demand of sanctions therefore four years imprisonment.

Russia expects a “toughest” crisis for at least three years because of the war in Ukraine, said Deripaska, head of the combined company Rusal and En+ Group: “We have not faced such challenges before. The Iron Curtain has already fallen.” In three weeks it will become clear what will finally happen to the banks and “who will be left of our partners”.
