In a study, the Institut der deutschen Wirtschaft (IW) evaluated the line between high and high earners in Germany. The interactive graphic to see where you stand with your income in comparison to others can be found in the middle of this text.
According to the study, whether someone is among the top earners depends heavily on whether or not children live in the household. Couple households without children are clearly most frequently represented in the upper income bracket.
