Founded in 2012, Wing carried out its first drone transport operation in 2014. Continuing its operations in Australia, Finland and the USA, the company successfully delivered a total of 50,000 packages in the first quarter of 2022.

In addition to its drone model, which it calls Hummingbirg, Wing introduced its new products specially designed for large and small packages. The company’s website states, “Prototypes developed and final products manufactured by Wing carry packages of approximately 25 percent of their mass. This rate is less than 0.1 percent when automobiles are used for delivery business. Our drone delivery solutions are one step ahead in terms of both price/performance and environmentalism.” statements are included.
Hummingbird can carry products weighing approximately 1.2 kg. The first of the developed models will be able to carry loads more than twice as heavy as the Hummingbird model. The smaller model is designed to carry medicine.
“We take a modular approach to Wing’s drone range,” said Wing CEO Adam Woodworth. We are also working to reuse ideas and components that have proven themselves in tests. Tested flight control systems will allow Wing to rapidly develop new variations using existing hardware.” said.
Wing is known to work for supply chain optimization in the deliveries of food, medicine and other products. It is stated that the company has also started R&D studies on using drones for emergency response.
