Why there will be no peace even after the end of the Ukraine war

It cannot be repeated often enough: Russia’s attack on Ukraine is also an attack on the European security order. The common house of Europe is in ruins, and for the foreseeable future, security in Europe will no longer work with Russia, but rather with its demarcation.

The hope that there will be a stable peace after the war is also deceptive. Even an end to Russian hostilities in Ukraine is unlikely to bring lasting peace to Europe if the word peace is understood in a sophisticated way, meaning more than the absence of military force.
