Dusseldorf Whether chips, perfume or dog food: Consumers come into contact with Symrise products 20 to 30 times a day. The Dax group produces fragrances and flavorings, so it makes sure that toothpaste tastes like mint or ice cream like vanilla. Hardly any cosmetics or food manufacturer can do without supplies from Symrise, but the company is hardly known to the public.

She is extremely successful in this. Since 2006, sales have grown by almost eight percent annually on average. With a stable Ebitda margin of around 20 percent, Symrise is highly profitable even in the corona crisis. After rising to the Dax in autumn, the group will present its annual figures in the top stock market league for the first time this Tuesday.

“There will be no disappointments,” said Symrise boss Heinz-Jürgen Bertram to the Handelsblatt – and tends to be cautious. Analysts expect sales of 3.8 billion euros, which would again be an increase of almost eight percent.
