Berlin Confusing “funding ping-pong”, “announced fiasco” or “announced debacle” – the criticism of the ultra-short resumption of state subsidies for the construction of new energy-saving houses rained down from all well-known associations in the housing industry on the Federal Ministry for economy and climate protection. The Green Federal Minister Robert Habeck is well on the way to becoming the red rag for the industry. And for numerous builders.
That was what happened: on Wednesday at 1:14 p.m., the Federal Ministry of Economics announced that the “budget of 1 billion euros had been exhausted a few hours after the start of the application”. That no more applications would be accepted. And that “stage 2 of the new building subsidy” will start on the following day.
