Recently there have been few large start-up financing rounds. But that is only due to the Ukraine crisis and the turbulence on the stock exchanges. However, the basic situation has not changed. The money pots are full. More and more funds are being added. And everyone wants to invest in the most promising start-ups.

In the “Handelsblatt Today” podcast, the investor and co-founder of Equation, Mark Schmitz, explains why start-ups have the greatest chance of making profits with new funds, but they also take a higher risk than with established competitors.

Also: With a rate of 7.4 percent in April, inflation in the euro area is still at record levels. And the global economy also remains clouded. In the title talk, head of text Christian Rickens explains which three equity strategies are promising for investors in the face of weak economic development and rising inflation.
